Enjoy the scenery and the healthiness of the clear mountain air while sipping tea on the lawn
This Planter's bungalow nestled on high ground in our tea garden of Dickoya Estate is over 3500 feet above sea level and with its lawned garden and attractive surroundings, covers an extent of 4 acres. Conveniently located close to Dickoya Town and 140Km away from the hustle and bustle of capital city Colombo, it is an ideal spot for a family or individual to unwind and relax, enjoying the peace and tranquility of its wholesome and beautiful picturesque surroundings. It houses 4 exquisitely furnished bedrooms done with a colonial touch. Although over 100 years old and traditional in style to the Planter’s of yore, the bungalow has all the modern day amenities such as electricity, hot & cold water facilities, TV, telephones etc.
This bungalow was built by a pioneering British Planter who first settled in the region and hence is of historical significance as well. Since then it has been upgraded to blend with modern day comforts whilst preserving the uniqueness of its antique beauty.
The bungalow provides self catering accommodation. Our helpful staff can suggest a visiting itinerary or travel plan so that you can make the most of your time during your stay. Your stay will be even more memorable with the bungalow butler’s exceptional service and the chef’s (known in Sri Lanka as “Appu.”) most appetizing meals of both western and eastern cuisine when you will enjoy the fresh and wholesome produce from the greenhouse and vegetable garden adjacent to the bungalow.
